1. The Nature of This Reference

Desert Hot Springs Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections associated with Desert Hot Springs, Riverside County, and California. It does not host the government records and has no affiliation with an office, court, library, or other custodian.

2. Permitted and Prohibited Use

Use the pages only for lawful purposes. You may not use the pages or any information reached through them to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit fraud or identity theft
  • Make an FCRA-regulated decision about credit, employment, tenant matters, or insurance
  • Scrape, republish, or copy the content at scale
  • Disrupt, probe, or weaken the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency Status

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 et seq. Neither these pages nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. Nothing may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. Outside Services

Government portals, library services, archives, sponsored search tools, and other linked services set their own terms and privacy rules. Desert Hot Springs Residents Directory does not control their availability, content, prices, or data practices and is not responsible for them.

5. No Warranty

The pages are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a record description is accurate, complete, or current, or that an external portal will operate or return a correct result. Confirm important information with the custodian.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of the reference or an external resource, including an action taken because of a record found through it.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your misuse of the pages or violation of these terms.

8. Copyright and Site Material

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Ordinary links and brief attributed quotations are welcome. Full-page republication or systematic copying is not permitted without permission.

9. Revisions

These terms may be changed by posting a revised version. Use after a revision is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated text.

10. Access Restrictions

The operators may block or limit access, with or without notice, when a user violates these terms, abuses a linked search surface, or threatens the operation or security of the reference.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The public-record discussions refer to the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000. California privacy references concern the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 et seq.; those laws do not make this private reference a custodian of Riverside County records.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
